The VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHCS) is seeking fee basis physicians to join our team in the Compensation and Pension (C&P) Mission Valley clinic. The C&P physician functions as an independent examiner and at times collaborates with peers in C&P settings to develop an individualized assessment for Veterans applying for VA disabilities. The examiner performs all duties necessary for high-quality, customer-focused, and cost-effective care. The C&P physician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate Veterans served by San Diego C&P Service. The physician performs history and physical examinations, orders appropriate diagnostic studies, and acts within the guidelines and quality indicators set
