About the Role:

Job Summary

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) serves as an influential people partner and provides strategic HR consultation and guidance for assigned departments and/or service lines within Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). The SHRBP collaborates with senior leaders (director-level and above), HR Centers of Expertise, Organizational Development and HR Business Partners to develop and implement key HR initiatives and solutions necessary to help advance business objectives, as well as system and people strategies. The SHRBP serves as the primary HR point of contact for senior leaders and helps drive change that can have a positive impact on employee engagement, turnover, retention, quality, patient safety and productivity.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications: SHRM, HRCI or ASHHRA Certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.

• Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree.

• Minimum Experience: Eight (8) plus years of prior experience in a similar role.

• Extensive understanding of federal and state labor law including EEOC, FMLA, and ADA

• Strong facilitation skills

• Ability to interface and work well with employees at all levels of the organization

• Strong persuasion and conflict resolution skills including the ability to remain tactful and calm during confrontational situations

• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with senior leaders to identify and implement actions that improve or maintain a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and integrity and provide a great employee experience.

• Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address performance, organizational structure, and engagement.

• Continually assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of programs and practices against relevant comparable healthcare organizations and markets.

• Build strong relationships with business teams and be a trusted advisor for senior leaders.

• Serve as trusted resource for all engagement initiatives; in collaboration with Organizational Development (OD) and senior leaders, design and implement engagement activities and develop action plans based upon results of the engagement surveys.

• Provide guidance and input on department/service line restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

• Utilize project management methodologies to lead projects within assigned departments/service lines or that cross over multiple divisions/service lines.

• Identify problem employee relations areas that impede organizational progress; in collaboration with HR Business Partner, recommend appropriate interventions and/or corrective actions as needed.

• Provide monthly reporting and key people analytics that enable leaders to make more informed, data driven decisions.

• Analyze HR data and identify vulnerabilities and translate trends and metrics into meaningful insights and action plans.

• Develop content and facilitate employee relations training, workgroups and employee advisory councils.
