What you will be doing:
As a member of the hospital’s leadership team the Executive Director of Human Resources provides strategic and tactical leadership in all areas of human capital management for the hospital and its various departments.
This includes overseeing all areas of human resources including organization development, recruitment, position classification, labor relations, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and the day-to-day operational oversight of the Human Resources Department.

Desired Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with an emphasis on Human Resources Administration or Health Services. Professional Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibility can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience(s): A minimum of 5 years of professional level Human Resources experience, preferably in a healthcare field. Demonstrated abilities in computer literacy, oral and written communication, mediation/facilitation skills, labor relations, and talent acquisition are preferred.
Certification(s): Must obtain IPMA-SCP or SHRM- SCP certification within 18 months of hire.

Originally known as St. Ann's Hospital, the hospital opened in 1886 and was operated by the Sisters of St. Ann until the 1960s. In 1965, the hospital's operations were turned over to the City and Borough of Juneau, and a new facility was built at the hospital's present location on Hospital Drive.
Bartlett Regional Hospital is licensed for a total of 57 inpatient beds and 16 residential substance-abuse treatment facility beds in the Rainforest Recovery Center. The hospital serves a 15,000-square-mile region in the northern part of Southeast Alaska. Approximately 55,000 people reside in our service area, with most communities inaccessible by road. The hospital is located in Juneau - the capital of Alaska and the third largest city, with a population of approximately 32,000.

The hospital hosts a laboratory, which is certified by the College of American Pathologists. Mammography services are certified by the American College of Radiology.
