Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a full-time intern for the Workers Compensation Operation Team. In this role, the intern will work alongside a team of innovative professionals and contribute to Atlantic's mission of delivering excellent healthcare services to our communities. The intern's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Act as a liaison between Worker's Compensation Program and external vendors (such as: outpatient facilities, insurance companies, Managed Care Organizations, etc.)
• Obtain authorizations for visits and testing to communicate to point person
• Will manage phone calls, schedule/confirm appointments, enter demographics, insurance coverages & patient information
• Compile and distribute any reports as requested by the WC companies
• Gather information from visits and submit to the claims' adjusters
• Assist in De-escalation of what can be tense situations
• Work alongside team on operational projects such as expanding knowledge of staff education, risk mitigation, etc.

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
• Ideally pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a similarly related field
• Be in good academic standing
• US Citizen or permanent resident
• Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
• Coursework and/or experience with data analysis
• Experience utilizing software such as: Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc.
• Excel proficiency preferred
