The Executive Director, Human Resources (EDHR) is responsible for the service delivery and oversight of Human Resources (HR), Occupational Medicine, Volunteer Services and other areas as assigned at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. The incumbent will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest ethical standards and moral conduct, act in the best interest of SGCMH and its employees, while fully supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
The Executive Director, Human Resources (EDHR) will oversee a variety of areas key to the organization’s ability to both attract and retain workforce members including, but not limited to: staffing, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, orientation, compensation and benefits. Additionally, the EDHR will have oversight of the organization’s Occupational Medicine department, workplace safety program and volunteer services. The EDHR will serve as a resource to mentor and develop members of the HR team and other assigned direct reports. The incumbent will recommend, evaluate and revise organizational HR policies and procedures to support an organization focused on an employee-orientated, high performance culture. In this role the EDHR will work to ensure compliance with laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local level. The incumbent will also participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, provide senior level direction and guidance over complex work typically impacting multiple areas of the hospital. Additionally, the EDHR will serve as a member of the Leadership Team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions and operations of the hospital’s departments and services for which responsibility has been assigned.

Education Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in a human resources or other business related field required; masters preferred
Experience and Certification
Minimum of 5-7 years-experience in Human Resources with, 3-5 years in the healthcare industry and 3 years in a leadership role required.
Candidates who hold SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification are preferred.
