With more than 11, 000 team members, Tower Health consists of the 738-bed Reading Hospital, a teaching hospital in West Reading, PA; 144-bed Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA; 231-bed Pottstown Hospital in Pottstown, PA; and 188-bed St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, a partnership of Tower Health and Drexel University, in Philadelphia, PA. It also includes Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing; Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences in West Reading; home healthcare services provided by Tower Health at Home; and a network of 27 urgent care facilities across the Tower Health service area. Tower Health offers a connected network of 1,238 physicians, specialists, and providers across more than 143 convenient locations.
Tower Health also has a growing relationship with Drexel University to advance its academic strategy. The two organizations collaborated to build an additional site location for Drexel’s College of Medicine in Wyomissing, less than one mile from Tower Health’s flagship, Reading Hospital. Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health has the capacity to train and educate up to 400 medical students.

Reading HealthPlex, which opened at Reading Hospital in October 2016, combines state-of-the-art technology and world-class design to make the HealthPlex one of the most sophisticated surgical centers and inpatient facilities in the region.
The System Director, Organization Development will supervise the Manager of Instructional Technology & Online Learning, report directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Engagement Officer and enjoy working with a collaborative, dynamic and talented leadership team. This new leader will have the opportunity to be part of formulating the future course for Tower Health Leadership and will oversee Organization Development, leadership development, employee training, learning and development, career development, retention, and succession planning. The System Director will develop curriculum and training programs that support the needs of the organization and will promote policies and procedures that are inclusive, reflect the mission, vision, and values of the organization, supports employee engagement, retention and positive employee and labor relations as well as DEIB efforts. In this key leadership role, the System Director will collaborate closely with HR Leadership, their team, and System Leadership to drive the strategic direction and day-to-day service delivery of the Organization Development function.

The two organizations are collaborating to build an additional site location for Drexel’s College of Medicine in Wyomissing, less than one mile from Tower Health’s flagship, Reading Hospital. When fully operational, Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health will have the capacity to train and educate up to 300 medical students. It is anticipated to be complete for the 2021-22 academic year.
