What you will do:
We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist like you who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the day-to-day functions will look like:
Provides guidance, coaching and counseling to leadership and employees to ensure the resolution of employment related matters.
Conduct investigations and make recommendations, from intake of the concern to closure.
Provide guidance on the interpretation and administration of company policies, procedures, and programs.
Serves as the first point of contact for management on employee relation issues. Counsels and advises managers with the interpretation and application of policies and procedures to resolve issues related to disciplinary action and conflict resolution.
Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations as appropriate. Escalates issues as necessary to the Manager of Human Resources.
Consults with internal or third-party legal counsel as appropriate regarding employee matters to ensure a fair and consistent approach to policies and procedures.
Tracks and analyzes employee relations issues and trends, diagnoses root causes and develops recommendations for corrective strategies. Participates in the design, development, and delivery of employee relations policies and training initiatives.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal and compliance departments as needed/required.
Contribute to internal projects and work streams as needed.
Conducts exit interviews with departing employees. Maintains effective and efficient exit procedures.
Represents the Company at unemployment and appeal hearings and is responsible for proper reporting and documentation associated with hearings.
Maintains and tracks the company’s leave programs. Provides guidance and interpretation to managers on ADAAA, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Leave, Domestic Violence Leave, etc.
Conducts benefits administration such as answers employee questions and may work with benefit vendors to research and resolve any issues or concerns related to leave of absence and ADAAA, etc.
Provides recruiting support for sourcing candidates, interviewing and extending job offers.
Provides support for badging, employment verifications, new hire packets, and other HR administrative functions as needed.
Conduct new employee orientation and on-boarding activities. Explains benefits, company programs, and policies and reviews paperwork with new hires.
Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes to improve HR processes, policies and programs.
Manages HR projects/process improvement activities, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality. Leads the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing project management phases.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and laws and regulations to ensure company programs are in compliance.
Perform periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:
The compensation for this position is $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually. The pay rate/salary is commensurate with experience.

Where you will work:
This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’
We are not able to support out of state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.

What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may substitute with a preference for eight years progressive relevant work experience.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on employee relations and benefits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to human resource functions required. Thorough knowledge of employee relations, benefits, unemployment administration and leave programs “best practices” required. A highly self-motivated and directed individual with attention to detail with proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilities. Must operate with a high-level of integrity and can gain the trust of multiple stakeholders and interact successfully with all levels within the organization. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision, and values. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to establish good working relationships with supervisors and employees. Requires exemplary customer service skills and ability to identify problems, research alternatives and resolve them. Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires excellent project management, organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint) with strong working knowledge of HRIS systems.
Licenses/Certifications: SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.
