The Sr. Manager, Total Rewards & Employee Programs partners effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups to accomplish objectives aligned to the organization's strategic plan. This role works alongside the broader talent team and focuses on collaborative solutions that have a true business impact. This position leads teams that partner with leaders ensuring the successful design & delivery of programs in support of our overall rewards strategy inclusive of compensation, benefits, and health and wellness. This role uses data to drive informed design recommendations to support attraction, engagement, and retention efforts. A proactive leader, the Senior Manager routinely brings forward innovative ideas that blend HR best practices with the UT Health San Antonio's culture.
Job Duties:
Manage the effective communication of compensation, benefits, and wellness programs to achieve employee awareness, understanding, and appreciation of program offerings, partnering with relevant internal stakeholders fostering best practices and driving operational excellence
Ensure the consistent application of our pay philosophy, align market cost competitiveness, and drive the pay for performance culture
Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, best practices, external market conditions and related internal factors and analytics to track for effectiveness of programs. Identify and respond to trends in compensation and supplemental benefits programs through review and analysis of competitive intelligence – ensuring that all reward programs are equitable, competitive, inclusive, sustainable, and scalable. Determine and implement metrics that assess and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing total rewards programs and new initiatives to ensure competitiveness.
Ensure all programs are administered in compliance with applicable regulations including the management of all compliance filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee compensation programs.
Build and effectively lead an exceptional Total Rewards team; ensure that they are technically strong, possess a high level of business acumen, are effective partners and capable of delivering results on time and at quality to support organizational objectives.
Analyze and interpret relevant market data, and develop recommendations for updates to job architecture, salary structures, and benefits offerings to ensure internal equity and market alignment of total compensation.
Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration, external market conditions and internal factors and analytics to track and ensure the organization provides competitive total rewards programs.
Collaborate with HRIS and other HR team members to develop and implement HR system improvements to align with the total rewards strategy.
Assist in developing a business case and roadmap for rewards transformation which aligns with the HR Strategy, and investment requirements of the organization.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or Finance or related field
Masters degree in a related field is preferred
Experience:
Seven (7) or more years of diverse total rewards experience (inclusive of five (5) years or more of compensation experience)
At least two (2) plus years of supervisory experience related to total rewards
