Job Summary
The Lewistown Hospital Urology team is seeking a Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join its growing team. This position does not require previous urology experience or pediatric patients to be seen/treatedAdvanced Practitioners will be offered the following benefits:
$10k Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates.

CME funds ($2500/year) and paid 10 CME days/yearPerform, under the responsibility and supervision of the physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to establish a diagnosis and to plan therapy. Assist in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the physician. Act as a patient advocate in the medical care system serving as confidant, advisor, and liaison between the patient and physician.

The Urology team at Geisinger Lewistown has an opening for an Advance Practitioner to join their team
Details:
Shared first call, no after hours call.
First assist in OR, Robotics Surgery
Pre and Post Op Clinic, H&P and new and return patients
Performs initial assessment and triage of patients based on information obtained pertinent to presenting condition.
Keeps track of pertinent procedure and laboratory results, discusses with physician, and returns call to family and patient regarding the results and plans.
Assists with arranging appropriate follow-up for the patients.
Answers and returns phone calls from established patients and their families and assess the needs of patient and family.
Discusses plan with the physician and relays information to the family and patient.
Obtains or assists in the preauthorization process for medications, diagnostic studies, and treatments.
