The Health Care District of Palm Beach County (HCDPBC) is seeking to hire a successful Human Resources leader for the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
HCDPBC is an independent taxing district that provides an array of health care services in Palm Beach County. Reporting to the CEO, the CHRO will oversee the Human Resources department. Provide overall strategic leadership to the organization on all employee and business matters. Select, develop, evaluate and lead a team of human resource professionals with a goal of being a World Class HR organization. Foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission of the District.
Monitors compliance with legal issues pertaining to the workforce and leading a team of employees, through District policy development and maintenance.
Maintains familiarity and competency with OSHA, EEO, taxes, retirement plans, wages and compensation, and other laws related to employees and contractors.
Works collaboratively with legal and compliance departments to ensure that employee handbooks, personnel documents, forms and other policies or procedures are complete, clear and functional.
Oversee operations in the respective departments: planning, budgeting and measurement of results
Serve as a member of the executive team
Provide overall strategic leadership to the company for HR initiatives; talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, learning & OD, HRIS, culture and employee relations
Works closely with leadership team to ensure alignment with the overall mission and strategy
Is a connector and culture-driver across the company.
Develops and implements comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective.
Creates a culture that embraces growth and development at all levels.
Leads the effort and provides advice and support for the development, implementation, oversight and evaluation of HR information systems.
Oversees the Workers Compensation process and monitors claims through benchmarking and analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; Master's degree in same preferred.
Fifteen (15) or more years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources Management is required. Healthcare experience is required.
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
A valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
