Overview
We're looking for an HR professional to join our organization to support our Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and Joint Commission International (JCI) businesses. We are a global, knowledge-based organization providing innovative solutions to help health care organizations across all settings improve patient safety and quality.
As an Sr. HR Generalist, you will report directly into the HR Business Partner Director and be responsible for providing the day-to-day human resources operations support to these businesses, which consist of 250+ employees and independent contractors from our corporate office and field-based staff from around the world.
This role will be providing the day-to-day HR operations support in a variety of HR related areas including talent acquisition and workforce planning, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, US and country labor law employment and compliance, compensation and benefits, and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). The role will also be managing a number of projects to support our growing domestic and international business operations.
Under the direction of the HR Business Partner Director, the Sr. HR Generalist will also be responsible for supporting and implementing HR Inniatives that support the growth of both our domestic and international businesses & best practices that simplify our ability to employ staff across the globe.

Responsibilities
- Be the day-to-day HR contact for managers and employees within the global business.
- Provide support and advise managers on employee engagement, staff performance, and employee relations issues.
- In partnership with the HR Business Partner Director, provide support in the research, design and implementation of international employment initiatives.
- Provide support to HR Business Partner Director with any org design efforts and implementations, as well as other assigned project work.
- Participate in JCI workforce planning meetings and partner with the business and Talent Acquisition team to determine the best staffing approaches to fulfill international employment needs.
- Assist with tracking international employment contracts and keep a pulse on changes in international employment laws.
- Coordinate with local country managers/office managers in maintaining required HR records and personnel files.
- Coordinate international staff onboarding and offboarding with local country managers and HR department to ensure compliance with applicable local country labor employment laws.
- Collaborate with the compensation and benefits department, and local country leaders, to track and ensure local country compensation models and benefits are competitive and meeting country labor law requirements. Provide change management support when changes and updates are made.
- Create and update, as necessary, employee handbooks and other HR related materials that outline the differences between HR policies, benefits, and compensation across global field staff and regional country locations. Provide assistance in communicating and rolling out updates to management and staff to ensure they understand what is available to them.
- Partner with HR and management to identify opportunities to create & implement approaches that simplify HR processes.
- Assist managers, partner with HR, and ensure consistency in the updating of job descriptions and career paths.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support the business and as assigned by the HR Business Partner Director.
