The Nurse Recruiter is exceptionally essential in the recruitment and retention of the nursing labor force. The recruiter impacts the success of the facility by ensuring a fluid pool of qualified candidates resulting in a decrease in the vacancy rate and positively enhances the quality of care of the veterans and employee engagement. In addition, the nurse recruiter amplifies the VA's presence in the collegiate community by participating in local college career fairs and hiring events. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
