POSITION PURPOSE: The Manager, HRBP helps set the direction for the HRBP team to enhance organizational performance by aligning HR strategy to business strategy. The role is a “working manager,” providing coaching, guidance and supervision to the HRBPs as well as having responsibilities for a dedicated set of internal clients. The role works closely with client groups and all HR colleagues to provide a full range of partnership to client groups, helping to educate, advise and influence on issues involving, but not limited to: employee engagement and retention; manager/employee development and coaching; compensation planning; organizational development; change management; special projects; and data analysis and client presentations. JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage, develop, and motivate a team of HR Business Partners who act as internal consultants by analyzing and recommending solutions to key business leaders using people data. Partners with department and/or functional leaders to align individual business unit goals and processes with Vail Health’s goals, policies, structure and processes from an HR perspective to improve organizational performance. Provides guidance to leadership in developing plans to improve workforce and career planning, employee retention and engagement, performance management, and process improvement. Provides HR expertise and coaching in areas such as: talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, HR data analysis, and performance management (including employee coaching and guidance). Proactively identifies strategic gaps or opportunities and proposes a consulting plan to identify and address root causes. Acts as a change agent by collaborating with key stakeholders to support and implement change management initiatives and ensure that objectives are met. Provides relevant metrics, analyzes trends, and translates data into actionable information to make recommendations regarding solutions to business problems, operational needs, and future opportunities. Identifies HR improvement opportunities from the business units and joins with HR colleagues to develop solutions. Assists HR colleagues in the implementation of new HR initiatives to improve employee and business performance. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant. Experience: 7 years’ experience in progressive human resources generalist roles focused on employee relations; policies interpretation and application; talent management; employee retention, engagement, and development; management consulting; using data to uncover insights that drive action 3 years’ supervisory experience in HR preferred. Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics). Experience with workforce planning and organizational restructuring. HR experience in a health care system or hospital preferred. HR experience in a rural community preferred. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Merger/Acquisition Integration experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational agility Strong knowledge of U.S. and Colorado employment laws Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with all levels Strong skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; HRIS and ATS platformsStrong project management skills. Strong business acumen. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, especially in navigating the “gray zone” Certification(s): HR Certification(s), i.e., PHR, SPHR, CCP, etc. preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
