Details Posted: February 23, 2021 Location: Tuba City, Arizona Show Map Salary: $184,168 - $276,251 Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Executive Required Education: Masters The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is an Executive position which provides Executive level support to the CEO regarding organizational operations within TCRHCC integrated health system. The COO provides Executive leadership to Senior Leadership and has delegated supervisory responsibility for positons assigned to report to them per the CEO. The COO is responsible for the Leadership mentoring, assigned evaluations, oversight, and when necessary, discipline for those positions within the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation’s health system. The COO is responsible for making recommendations regarding the overall strategic direction and oversight of the organization and of providing direction over the healthcare system’s operational management which includes, but is not limited to, development, day to day operations and implementation of other healthcare system Strategic Plan. The COO is responsible for the quality and provision of services provided and in setting and accomplishing the overall mission and goals of TCRHCC as directed by the CEO and per the Strategic Plan. The COO also serves as a leader on the Senior Leadership Council (SLC). The COO serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors and provides the Board input and assistance to evaluate the hospital’s performance related to TCRHCC’s mission, vision and goals, and assists the Board in the annual review as set forth in TCRHCC bylaws and as required by Joint Commission standards. In the absence of the CEO and/or assigned, the COO may serve as acting CEO. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Master’s Degree in Health Care Systems/Administration and A Master’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a valid, current, full and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any state of the United States, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States Experience: Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in licensed clinical practice oversight and healthcare operations. Must have five (5) years’ experience as a Senior Healthcare Executive in a progressive healthcare organization to include administration management experience in a large complex health care system. Clinical and Executive Healthcare Experience may be concurrent. Other Skills &Abilities: A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. All employment references must address and indicate success in each one of the following areas: Proven knowledge of the requirements of the Joint Commission regulations, HIPAA/HITECH, AAAHC and Community Health Center regulations and requirements, as well as other applicable healthcare governing bodies. Proven ability to develop a positive, solid relationship with hospital management, medical staff and other hospital staff. Proven sensitivity and understanding of the political issues within the hospital’s service community and within the hospital’s organization. Demonstrates high ethical standards and has no history of any proven ethics complaints. Has a history of being held in high regard for both ethical standards and performance and practice standards among his peers. Proven high level of understanding of the healthcare industry and its regulatory environment. Proven knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards. Proven ability as an excellent communicator and a proven ability to work effectively with medical staff, hospital employees and the hospital Board of Directors Proven ability as an effective medical and clinical trainer and mentor, and an ability to share information and medical skills with the medical staff. Proven record of strong leadership skills and an ability to mentor healthcare employees. Proven effectiveness as a team player who shares information with the healthcare team and supports the overall mission and goals of the healthcare institution.
