Instructional Systems Designer/Developer II AdventHealth Casselberry AH Learning Technologies Work Hours/Shift: Full Time Days You Will Be Responsible For: Collaborate with Learning Technologies team, AdventHealth stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify the learning needs of AdventHealth staff.Design and develop interactive Level 1-3 learning experiences using multiple course authoring tools or programs to best meet the learning needs.Initiates and utilizes E-Learning evidence-based principles and instructional strategies in the Instructional Design process for a wide variety of procedural, or performance-based learning objectives.Responsible for uploading and testing in the AdventHealth Saba-based Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure appropriate course functionality and optimal end-user experience.Develops multi-faceted supportive training materials to support course content, including instructional videos, job aids, user manuals, etc.Conceptualize, design and produce graphics demonstrating complex constructs and concepts using Graphics for Learning principles.Maintain and continually increase knowledge of processes involved in designing content, including applications, technology, policies and procedures.Establish frequent communication with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content stakeholders using standards established within the Learning Technologies team, from consultation through project completion, to ensure development of effective training within the project schedule.Document and maintain open and frequent communication within the Learning Technologies team to ensure project completion based on agreed upon milestones and timelines, communicating status, risk, and needs to ensure learning goals are met.Remain current and knowledgeable on emerging trends in instructional design, adult learning principles and course authoring tools/technology to assess its potential application.Uses education research data to develop instructional strategies.Authors and modifies eLearning interactivity and instructional design to the architecture and medium of delivery.Offers operational support, development, trouble-shooting and testing use-cases, leveraging the platform capabilities to meet customer needs. Develop, produce, and edit videos for training, live events and marketing purposes through the utilization of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Expertise with course authoring software and eLearning design best practices.Expertise with basic functions, test building, graphics and Level 1-3 interactivity to include complex branching, animated video, customized audio and scenario-based cases.Ability to integrate the organizational educational needs into learning programs using industry and evidence-based best practices and provided software tools.Strong history (3-5 years) using video editing software (Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro) and filming best practices.Advanced knowledge of camera, video and production equipment.Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Snagit, Visio, Graphics software and Visio.Leads online course building /video-based projects, strong project management, collaboration and customer relation skills.Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers).Ability to use tools provided to generate custom reports based on specified business requirements.Solid leadership skills, initiative and self-direction.Working knowledge of principles of Learning Management Systems (LMS).Ability to use LMS tools provided to generate custom usage and evaluation reports based on specified business requirements.Ability to work independently while meeting hard deadlines.Knowledge of adult learning principles and education administration processes EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelorâ™s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or applicable discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.3-5 years of experience with course authoring software and eLearning design best practices, including basic functions, test building, graphics and Level 1-3 interactivity to include complex branching, animated video, customized audio and scenario-based cases.5 years of experience in learning systems software or technology-based learning development.5 years of experience with Project Management practices and software (MS Project, or other PM tools).Experience with Shared Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant instructional objects.5 years of experience using Storyline (Articulate products) content authoring tools.3-5 years of demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent course authoring/asset management/development tool(s) GENERAL SUMMARY: The Instructional Systems Designer/Developer II consults, designs and develops learning programs, including but not limited to, eLearning interactivity Level 1-3 online courses, video production, immersive simulation, and instructor led training for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division (CFD) and associated programs/partners, including AdventHealth University, Graduate Medical Education (GME), Acute Care Services, Integrated Health Services and all support services. This position supports AdventHealth CFD strategic initiatives through the design and development of learning content that ensures learning objectives are achieved.
