Summary:

Perform a variety of courier and delivery duties utilizing a motor vehicle as necessary to ensure the proper distribution of specimen, records, materials and supplies, monies and bank deposits to various areas within the departments as well as outlying locations. The Courier will follow a predetermined route, along which items and materials are picked up and delivered. Maybe required to perform STAT deliveries. This position maintains continuous communications with the department, and maintains appropriate documentation of activities as required.

Requirements:

High School Degree preferred

Knowledge of office procedures

Interpersonal/human relations skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions

Ability to exercise sound judgment and to determine priorities

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Ability to understand difference in specimen types, appropriate processing and handling of each case type

Ability to walk throughout campus

Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions Ability to lift, push or carry a minimum of 50 pounds

Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers and programs   

Valid Drivers License and must pass CHRISTUS Health Driving Test through Health Stream
