Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Manager of Data Analytics will manage the data architecture, development and administration of the data platform. This position reports to the Director of Analytics. The program manager will have access to cutting-edge data tools and software packages that enable use of massive datasets rapidly. The program manager is expected to: Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions Create rapid analytics using Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and/or SQL. Support all CHA departments (Policy, Finance, Patient Safety, Communications, Rural) with data requests, analyses, visualizations and reports. Work with the Data Quality Program Manager and others to collect and review Discharge and other datasets. Administer internal databases, and create new tables and views as necessary for analytical work. Maintain and improve weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual data processing and reporting processes, including regular digital reports and datasets for purchasers. Provide ad-hoc datasets and analyses for members and external parties. Help manage and maintain the Data Center digital platform, ODHIN, through database management, visualization development and member training/support. Support the productivity and development of other team members by helping problem solve, sharing analytic skills and providing training as needed. Stay up to date on the needs of data team, government, hospital members, or vendors and how they translate to new application features. Develop software solutions to meet needs of application users. Create, test and implement programing codes and documents of new applications. Evaluate existing applications and perform updates and modifications. Follow and ensure all security, HIPAA and internal policies for appropriate use and protection of PHI and sensitive data. Review Power BI access requests (using Row Level Security settings) and create user accounts on Azure Active Directory assigning proper level of access based on requestor’s role and HIPAA guidance. Optimize background data process and manage dataset refresh schedules for faster data loading and better user experience. Perform and generate access and usage reports to ensure everything in the database system works correctly as designed for auditing. Participate in meetings with members and other stakeholders to understand needs. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor. Supervisory: None Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted): At least an MA/MS in health-related sciences or analytics such as, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biomedical, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Behavioral Economics Demonstrated proficiency in analytics software, such as SPSS, R, SQL, Alteryx, Python, XML/HTML or SAS Ability to build and maintain reports in business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI 3-5 years of data analytics or related experience required, work with healthcare related data is preferred Experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred Analytical and statistical training or experience A broad familiarity with healthcare issues and an interest in healthcare policy and analysis Strong critical thinking and stellar communication skills (both written and verbal) Experience with database management and developing applications This position presents a unique opportunity for a self-starting, adaptable and intelligent individual to further develop a valuable skill-set and innovate in a rewarding work environment. The actual starting salary may be more or less depending on qualifications and does not represent the full salary range.
