Summary:

The Director of Physician Development, Heart & Vascular Institute reports to the Vice President of Cardiology Services and is responsible providing strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the assigned region’s strategy plan and high value physician acquisition targets. This position will collaborate with leaders and physicians in the region as well as within Christus Health and Christus Trinity Clinic to develop and deploy key strategies that are aligned with business objectives.This position is responsible for interacting with and presenting to high level business and clinical professionals to ensure key stakeholders are updated on current state and are aware of any unidentified opportunities or market threats.The Director of Physician Development in conjunction with the Development Team is responsible for ensuring that the right agreements, processes, reporting, analysis and technology supports are in place to enable overall physician development and onboarding success

Requirements:

Education/Skills

 Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business or related field.

·Master degree preferred.

·Strong interpersonal skills and good negotiating skills in working with Executive level management.

·Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in the following Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Experience

• (3) eight years of experience in pharmacological/medical device sales or medical group management with a preferred focus in the following areas: development, acquisitions, operations, practice management, physician relations, and real estate.
