Miles of scenic trails and parks available for recreational activity Work Hours/Shift: PRN - Days You Will Be Responsible For: Perform clerical duties for physician clinic. Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner, take messages in the EHR system and task to proper Care Team Member. Schedule new and follow-up appointments Understand how scheduling affects the clinic and schedule patients as instructed by Office Manager. Understand the difference between Practice Management (EPM) and Electronic Health Record System (EHR). Professionally and politely greet patients as they enter the clinic Communicate appropriately and clearly to patients, co-workers, office manager, physicians and administration. Ability to accurately enter patient’s demographics into Practice Management system Understand the difference between co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles – collect as needed. Ability to inform patients of basic Self Pay policies and collect at time of service. Collect payments, document receipts, prepare deposits and balance petty cash Ensure the waiting room of the clinic is clean and well organized. Responsible for Patient rounding in waiting room. Check mailbox daily and distribute mail to appropriate designee. Ensure all tasks and job duties are performed to an acceptable standard. Perform other tasks as requested. QualificationsWhat You Will Need: High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 Years of Medical Office experience preferred. Must be able to travel between locations in Killeen and Harker Heights with possible occasional float to Copperas Cove and Lampasas. Job Summary: Office Assistant/Receptionist to work in a Medical Clinic with one or more physicians. Dependable front office staff to greet and welcome the patients as they arrive in the clinic. Ability to accurately explain the check in process to patients and register the patients in the EMR. Works closely with patients and Medical Assistants to prepare them for their visit with the physician. Flexible to work in other areas of the physician group as needed and can work with multiple host systems. Works under supervision of Office Manager.
