Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer, you will lead an exceptional team of professionals with operational oversight for general accounting, financial reporting, property accounting, gift administration, payroll, accounts payable, and cashiering. You will be responsible for a $3 billion annual operating budget that includes three hospitals. With a focus on ensuring consistent, high-quality financial services, you will:

·      Help team members achieve their professional potential

·      Foster teamwork and a performance-based culture with a focus on internal controls, customer service and process improvement

·      Build trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders

·      Conduct ongoing financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements

·      Lead, develop and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards

·      Plan, coordinate and prepare for year-end external audit

·      Lead the financial analysis of capital related transactions including annual capital budgets for depreciation expense, interest expense and capital related cash flow

·      Coordinate bond due diligence activities and monitor accurate reporting of debt

·      Work to obtain and administer grant awards for health system programs

·      Lead the monthly closing process, reviewing revenues, expenses, and other statistical data and prepare monthly financial statements

·      Identify issues with hospital department operations and financial reporting

·      Provide key operational support to the CFO

·      Collaborate with IT to maintain/upgrade/enhance relevant systems
