Details Posted: January 29, 2021 Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania Show Map Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Executive Required Education: Masters JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for our new hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is responsible for providing administrative direction for operations of assigned areas of a community hospital. The SVP, COO promotes the Penn State Health (PSH) mission, core values and vision through effective operational processes. This hospital leader will assist in the development of, and is responsible for, carrying out goals, objectives, plans and policies established by the President. The Senior VP, COO ensures hospital and related services are delivered in accordance with established quality standards and financial expectations. The Senior Vice President will represent Penn State Health (PSH) and the PSH Lancaster Medical Center to various community, public and governmental organizations as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or other advanced health or business related degree required. 10 years of related experience required. 7 years of management experience required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Uncompromising reputation for honesty and integrity in everything he/she does. Intimate knowledge of and experience in state and federal regulatory affairs. Good business acumen and strong leadership skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong financial management skills. Able to work effectively in multiple areas within a complex, multi-faceted organization. Knowledge of information technology and management information systems. Able to interface effectively with colleagues, staff at all levels of organization, medical staff, patients and their family members, consultants, legislators, government officials, outside organizations and general public. Able to develop cooperative and productive relationships. Able to lead decision makers to consensus. Must possess an understanding of people and a sense of accountability, fairness and consistency. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional experience in healthcare-related strategic planning preferred.
