Details Posted: January 13, 2021 Location: Long Beach, California Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Operations Purpose Statement / Position Summary:This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital. The employee shall support Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital's Strategic, Business Development and Physician Relations plans. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Business Development and Physician Relations, this position supports the physician sales and growth plans of the product line business development teams. Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with identified current and potential referring physicians and their office staff through frequent direct contact and strong relationship building. The physician relations liaison troubleshoots service matters, maintains knowledge of practice referral patterns, gathers market intelligence and implements strategies to capture business and establish loyalty with identified physicians. The physician liaison is also responsible for contacting, welcoming and orienting new physicians to the hospital. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job Impacts achievement of business development team growth goals by developing strong physician relationships and strategies to influence their engagement with Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital.Performs extensive field work (more than 50% of work-week) to ensure positive relationships with physicians/staff, proactively identify practice changes, gather market intelligence, and identify/implement growth strategies.Collaborates with administration, physicians and product line leaders to achieve growth objectives.Actively participates in product line business development teams.
