PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the VP Finance, Treasury Services, this position is responsible for assisting in operationalizing the strategic vision of Treasury Services for ChristianaCare. Implement and facilitate Treasury support functions as necessary to maintain effective and efficient Treasury Services. Assist and support the VP Finance, Treasury Services, with daily operational needs of the cash posting team. Treasury Services includes both assets and debt liabilities, are managed by Christiana Care Health System's Board of Directors, the Investment Committee, and the Finance Committee. Actions require strict adherence to guidelines and many transactions require approval by the Board and Committees. In addition, these assets and debt liabilities require an annual external audit by our audit partner PwC. PwC renders an opinion as to whether the consolidated financial statements are free from material misstatement. Significant footnote disclosures are required for these asset and debt liabilities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in preparation of presentations and meeting materials for the Investment and Finance Committees of the Board and any necessary meeting materials for the Christiana Care Health System Board related to the areas of Treasury Services. Monitoring of daily cash, liquidity, and debt ratios. Participate in cash huddles and communicate relevant information to key finance co-workers. Support development and maintenance of cash forecasting models. Assist in maintaining online banking portals, signature card and compliance, and other required banking and investments authorization requirements. Educated on best practices including PCI compliance and other regulatory requirements that maintain and improve the system of internal controls. Assist in facilitating bond issuance and/or other debt instruments. Assist with maintaining required quarterly and annual reporting including required disclosure filing. Assist with materials needed for key presentations to rating agencies, boards and committees. Assist with Unclaimed Property (Escheat) compliance. Provide treasury services for expansion of operations, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and other innovative partnerships. Support Cash Posting team projects that focus on modernizing Revenue Cycle cash processes including point of service collections. Monitor Key Performance Indicators that monitor Revenue Cycle cash posting. Monitor payment programs including current Commerce Platform. Enhance return and decrease fees. Work with Accounts Payable on best practices and education. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting. M.B.A., desired. 2 to 5 years of experience with Acute Hospital Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Revenue Cycle Operations. Hospital Treasury Services highly desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Active Professional Certification of relevance.
