 Title: Medicare Insurance Sales Specialist

Location: Anywhere in USA

Compensation: Commission only.  First year $40,000-100,000.  Up to $250,000 by year five.

Start Date: Immediately

Reason for the opening: Agent demand across nation.  10,000 people per day turn 65 and become eligible for Medicare and that will continue till 2029.

Book of Business Details: Focus on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements and Medicare Part D.  Can market other products like life insurance or LTC if desire.

Responsibilities: client engagement, educational classes, helping members navigate plan options and make their best choices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your typical day will be a mix of prospecting, education, helping prospects navigate choices, helping them enroll in the right plans and helping with customer service for your existing members.  There are many models that help an agent do this.  Some involve direct mail.  Some involve retail (i.e. sitting at a Medicare booth at a pharmacy or large retailer.)

• A health insurance license for your state is required.
• You must pass AHIP Medicare Training. We can assist with this once you are licensed.
• Basic laptop, tablet, technology skills are a must. Paper applications are dying in the industry.

COMPENSATION

As an agent you make from $539-672 on a new Medicare Advantage plan.  This is the same commission you would make contracting directly with the firms but this includes our marketing support, which they do not provide.  Your renewals are 50% for life and they follow you even if you leave our firm.  An agent with 500 members can expect to make over $11,000 per month in renewal income.

A new Part D plan pays you $81 for the first year and a 50% renewal for life.

Medicare Supplement commissions vary by carrier and plan.

Once an agent has about 100 members, his or her renewal income is about $2,000 per month before he or she goes to work that month.  Once you have around 1000 members, your renewal income is about $20,000 per month.  How would your life change with an extra $2000-20K per month?
