Work Hours/Shift:Full Time, Days You Will Be Responsible For:Coordinates monthly closing for specific hospital, entity or department. (General Ledger)Assists with closing the ledgers each month and at year-end, i.e., preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, reconciling balance sheet accounts. (Audit & Tax Returns)QualificationsWhat You Will Need:KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Excellent organizational skills; ability to perform complex mathematical and accounting processes; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records; in particular using spreadsheets; analytical reasoning and problem solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.Mental effort in multi-tasking complex calculations, interpretation of policies and procedures, GAAP and the ability to meet monthly close deadlines. PeopleSoft experience preferredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of three-five years responsible full-time work related experience in accountingBachelorâ™s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field requiredHealthcare experience preferredMasterâ™s degree preferredCertified Public Accountant license preferred Job Summary:Under the general direction of the Regional Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the planning and managing of fiscal operations. May be responsible for a particular aspect of the Volusia/Flagler Region (the âœRegionâ) fiscal operations, i.e., payroll taxation, fixed assets, etc. or may be the financial coordinator for a specific business unit under the Region.
