Applies scientific principles and biomedical knowledge to understand, organize, and describe complex data for scientific, medical, and lay audiences. Coordinates input from a multi-disciplinary team while meeting tight deadlines. Helps write and proofread key documents. Maintains familiarity with relevant research, conducts literature reviews, and manages references. Assists with the design, development, and selection of scientific illustrations, tables, and figures. Submits manuscripts and tracks manuscript status from conceptualization through publication. Identifies funding opportunities. Maintains boilerplate text describing facilities, resources, and standard procedures. Summarizes research results for lay audiences and community stakeholders. Ability to read, analyze and interpret an extensive variety of scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Minimum Degree Required:DoctorateWork Hours: Preferred Qualifications:Immunology and/or clinical rheumatology experience is a plus. AMWA certification is preferred. Previous experience with statistics and scientific and/or grant writing strongly preferred. Proficiency in EndNote and GraphPad Prism.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
