Details Posted: December 17, 2020 Location: Dallas, Texas Show Map Salary: Commensurate with experience Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Operations Required Education: High School Join our Managed Care Team! Responsibilities: Responsible for leading the activities associated with coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Leads the team and facilitates all aspects of credentialing, re-credentialing, and monitoring progress for medical staff and allied health practitioners with Health Plans. Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies in regards to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of statutes and laws. Assumes lead role in facilitating communication with the health plans, physicians, administrative support staff and contracted groups representing Scottish Rite for Children. Education/Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years Medical Staff or Managed Care Credentialing Coordinator experience. In a hospital, clinic or health plan setting is preferred. Certification through the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM upon hire is preferred. Otherwise, certification must be obtained within one year of hire or one year of eligibility per NAMSS requirements, as applicable. Proficient in computer applications (e.g. Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet browsers, medical staff/credentialing software databases, etc.) Knowledge of standards in managed care credentialing practiced, health plan credentialing requirements, statistics, data collection, analysis and data presentation Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
