Details Posted: July 23, 2020 Location: Sacramento, California Show Map Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Operations Association’s Mission: To lead and position community clinics, health centers and networks through advocacy, education, and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities. Purpose of Position: To support the implementation of programs and projects, including training and technical assistance efforts, which enhances the capabilities of community health centers to train and develop diverse and culturally responsive future health professionals, as well as to advance the work of the Association. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Support the assessment of, and provide technical assistance and training to, community health centers as they determine their capacity and readiness to train future healthcare professional2. Facilitate member relationships that encourage trust and open communication, and allow for successful implementation of Bureau of Primary Health Care grant requirement3. Identify, establish and sustain partnerships with National Training & Technical Assistance Providers (NTTAPs), academic institutions, healthcare workforce pipeline partners, provider associations, government agencies, and other health care entities along the care delivery spectrum specific to support health care workforce training need4. Engage in workforce related government agency and partner stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment with CPCA’s workforce efforts, as well as to identify opportunities for additional partnership and program work5. In coordination with CPCA’s Data Team, manage data gathering efforts that both identify the challenges around CHC workforce training efforts, as well as to identify and promote innovative workforce training strategies to CHCs that address existing challenges6. Develop workforce-related webinars, workshops and other knowledge-sharing opportunities forCHCs in collaboration with CPCA’s training team.7. Support CPCA’s Government Affairs team in workforce policy and advocacy efforts by monitoringbill changes, writing letters of support, researching policy recommendations, etc. as needed.8. Ensure coordination with regional consortia around health professions training initiatives as necessary and appropriate.9. Write, edit, and disseminate, as necessary, workforce related guidelines, course descriptions, promotional materials, educational materials, toolkits, training manuals, newsletter articles and/or brochure10. Conduct research, develop reports and administer surveys; prepare scheduled and specialreports; prepare information for grant reports; maintain program/project records and statistical information. Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Strong project and program management expertise including implementation and evaluation2. Serve as lead staff to designated peer networks, work groups, task forces and committees.3. Solid interpersonal and professional skills when engaging with Association membership and Board of Directors, vendors and partners.4. Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills5. Deliver accurate and concise written and oral communication6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web based applications and platform7. Work collaboratively with leadership and multi departmental team8. Anticipate and resolve problems on own initiative Additional Responsibilities: 1. Attends and participates in required Association meetings.2. Travel for national and regional meetings, training and site visits by air and ground transportation3. Reports regularly to supervisor.4. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum three years of project or program management experience. Experience with community health centers, member-driven associations or non-profit organizations is also preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
