Performance Improvement Analyst/Abstractor (1907912) Your Role: Aids and supplements work of internal improvement teams. Serves as a quality improvement resource by collaborating with personnel and departments involved in quality improvement activities. Provides project support and data collection assistance for the improvement of organizational or departmental systems and processes. Assists in the coordination and aggregation of information for use by management in its decision making. Works in collaboration with data analysts, performance improvement engineers, and the quality and patient safety managers.

Department/Unit Summary: The Department of Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention (QSRP) equips and empowers VUMC faculty and staff to offer care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, and patient-centered. As a member of QSRP, this position will support abstraction of externally reported quality metrics. In addition to abstraction, the individual will aid in process improvement initiatives that supply real time data and allow for actionable process improvement projects within the institution. The position will support the Virtual Pediatric Systems (VPS) registry.
