Responsible for all accounting functions to be performed in an audible and accurate manner.
This includes monthly financial reporting and analysis of Foundation operating results as well as preparation of the IRS 990. Provides direct supervision for Lead Finance Clerk and recommends and implements improvements in the efficiency of accounting procedures for Foundation.
Responsive to the information needs of Administrators, Fund Custodians, Development Office and Finance Management. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Reports directly to the Senior Accountant, Geisinger Foundation.

Well-developed computer skills, including Excel and Access.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration required. Minimum of two years of accounting or finance experience required.
Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required. Minimum four years of accounting or finance experience required.
In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years’ experience in accounting, auditing, or finance may be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting or related business field required. Minimum of two years of accounting, auditing, or relevant financial experience required.
Fund or project accounting experience preferred.
Lawson experience preferred.
