This strategic role will report to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and be responsible for the development of recruitment practices and programs that enable the acquisition of top talent required to meet strategic objectives.
Responsibilities of the position include the following:
Using best practice recruitment strategies/technology to attract strong, diverse talent to Sentara.
Establishing a strategic Talent Acquisition plan in partnership with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to effectively source and deliver talent necessary to achieve business outcomes.
Developing workforce development strategies and a suitable talent pipeline to drive business results. Include outreach to schools and community groups.
Establishing Talent Acquisition metrics, providing analysis of results with a goal of moving performance to best practice levels and operational excellence.
Developing recommended practices and policies for hiring managers, the talent acquisition team and management of vendors/search firms.
Keep abreast of talent Acquisition trends and best practices.
Leading and motivating a high performing Talent Acquisition team by mentoring and developing to ensure all have a thorough understanding of the businesses they support as well as best practice sourcing and recruitment technology to locate, engage and attract prospective candidates. Improve onboarding and training programs. Seek Talent Acquisition technology enhancements.
Seek feedback from internal and external customers identifying opportunities for future growth and improvement.
Effectively develop and lead projects and improvement initiatives offering creative ideas for new Talent Acquisition program development
Working collaboratively with Talent Acquisition leadership/team to meet the high volume recruitment needs of Sentara in a timely and cost effective manner.
The successful candidate will have:
10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience in a large complex organization at least 5 of which must involve leading a high functioning, high volume team of Talent Acquisition professionals. Must be experienced with ATS/HRIS, CRM, Social Media/Marketing, AI and other cutting edge recruitment technology.
A Master’s Degree in a related field (preferably MBA or MHA, or HR)
Experience recruiting for all levels of positions including senior leadership roles.
A proven track record of building and executing Talent Acquisition strategies that drive results.
Strong project management skills.
A passion for innovation, quality and excellence. A person of high integrity.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
A preference for working in a fast paced, high energy environment with tight deadlines, competing priorities where being decisive is important.
