The Director, Partner Development leads the partner/sponsor acquisition and relationship management for The Beryl Institute using a consultative, strategic approach. The right candidate will have a solid understanding of market trends and a proven record for achieving performance targets.
Senior Vice President and COO, The Beryl Institute
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas or Nashville, TN (Virtual position – will work remotely with periodic in-person meetings)
Responsibilities include the following, with other duties that may be assigned as the role develops:
Perform all operations supporting the successful acquisition, fulfillment, billing and revenue collection associated with partner/sponsor sales.
New Partner Development
Develop and execute outreach strategies to secure new sponsor/partner relationships based on defined revenue goals and development of priority accounts and prospects
Create prospect/target pipeline by identifying organizations with products and services impacting patient experience efforts that could serve as valuable resources to The Beryl Institute community
Identify and develop relationships with the decision makers/buyers within targeted organizations
Identify new partnership offerings to increase value to Solution Providers while also meeting the needs of the patient experience community
Partner Relationship Management
Serve as liaison to all existing partners:
Conduct regular check-in meetings
Track partnership deliverables
Ensure partner expectations are met/exceeded
Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate partnership deliverables
Event Exhibitor/Sponsor Sales and Management
Work with Director of Events to enhance exhibitor/sponsor offerings at annual Patient Experience Conference to develop exposure opportunities for Solutions Providers that also enhance the overall attendee experience
Manage the customer experience for conference exhibitors/sponsors throughout the sales, planning, onsite and follow-up phases
Develop exhibitor floor-plans and pre-conference planning materials, including communications, tool kits and reminders
Survey, analyze and evaluate exhibitor performance and feedback to make data-driven recommendations for future enhancements
Maintain clear, up-to-date records, and detailed notes on all sales activity in CRM.
Provide regular sponsorship sales forecasts and strategic account updates.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 5 years sales experience with documented track-record of results
Experienced in planning and implementing sales strategies
Team player with an understanding and focus on the delivery of unparalleled service
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively, verbally and in writing
Ability to balance the need to shape outcomes in the short term while maintaining successful long-term relationships
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and basic CRM tools
Experience in a mission-driven and/or membership organization and an understanding of the healthcare environment a plus
The Director, Partnership Development is a virtual role, providing the individual with work flexibility, but also the need to ensure critical focus in maintaining consistent communication and achieving performance targets. Travel expectations will be related to team meetings, events hosted by the Institute, and direct outreach to existing partners and/or prospect organizations. Estimated 20% travel.
This position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission potential and a comprehensive benefits package.
