The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of policies and practices supporting the 2400-member healthcare workforce which includes 180 employed providers. Functional areas of Human Resources include recruitment and staffing, benefits and compensation, performance management, employee relations, and leave management. Recent implementation of the Infor Talent Management suite provides opportunity to maximize current features and expand use through development of remaining modules. This position works closely with leadership to reinforce initiatives focusing on supporting and maintaining the positive culture and high employee engagement scores that have become customary for SBL. SBL is a growing and progressive regional rural hospital serving a nine-county service area. It includes a fully renovated and contemporary 145-bed acute care hospital, 17 primary care clinics in neighboring communities, Regional Cancer Center, Heart Center, and Post-Acute Care services.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related field required. Master’s degree or combination of education and professional experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities preferred. Minimum of five years of human resources leadership experience, preferably in the healthcare industry. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to build positive relationships, establish rapport, and credibility across all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and Excel skills to support HRIS reporting, benefit & compensation analysis and budget development and accountability. Ability to develop, implement, and monitor action plans toward attainment of goals. Expertise in employee relations and conflict resolution.
