This is a paid position for undergraduate four-year university students majoring in marketing. The role is dedicated to regional marketing within Geisinger, an integrated healthcare provider system nationally recognized for innovative care delivery and leading-edge programs. The marketing strategy intern role is focused on supporting marketing strategy and execution for a designated region and requires a 360-view that includes customer journey mapping and full customer experience, from first exposure to marketing messages to appointment setting, clinical visit(s) and up to inpatient/outpatient surgery or other treatment(s), as well as post-care follow-up and brand impressions. The position works closely with a full-time Geisinger marketing strategist and a cross-functional team that includes specialists in digital, public relations, communications, content marketing, project management and more.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role is responsible for supporting the launch and refinement of new direct-to-consumer digital and traditional campaigns for a designated region. Duties include summarizing and presenting consumer data, customer journey mapping, field research and delivery of deadline-driven materials for successful results tied to net new patients and revenue.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Third or fourth-year university student majoring in marketing. Previous experience in healthcare provider or CPG/consumer space a bonus.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Office environment and occasional travel to Geisinger hospitals, clinics and care sites required.
