Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a talented, motivated and energetic Director of Ambulatory Services to oversee Ambulatory operations. This position is located at Valley Children’s main campus in Madera, California. The Director of Ambulatory Services maintains overall strategic and programmatic responsibility for ambulatory programs within his/her jurisdiction. This position has direct accountability for the supervisors responsible for the day to day operations of each program.
Position Details and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with medical, clinical, and nursing staff in the department(s) to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery and customer satisfaction throughout the department
Maintain fiscal accountability through the development, implementation, and evaluation of annual operating and capital budgets
Provide administrative direction through the formulation of goals and strategic plans
Maintain 24-hour accountability of the department
Coordinate a planned and systematic Quality/Performance Improvement Program for the department
This position practices in accordance with Children's policies
Active California Registered Nurse licensure and experience working in a clinical role as a registered nurse is highly preferred
Minimum three (3) years management, leadership or supervisory experience required
Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job is preferred
Experience in pediatrics is highly desirable
Experience and/or knowledge of working in or with a 1205c (or similar) clinic
