Vice President of Business Development Summit Strategic Solutions in Knoxville, Tennessee
Summit Strategic Solutions seeks an accomplished senior health care executive to serve as Vice President of Business Development. Formed in 2015 from the management services developed for Summit Medical Group, a leading primary health care organization with 200-plus primary care physicians, Summit Strategic Solutions provides business, operational, financial, and legal services to physician practices, health insurance plans, and self-insured employers. Summit Strategic Solutions is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and specializes in providing customized, practice-focused services that deliver value and efficiency while improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
In close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and the executive team, the Vice President of Business Development (VP) will be responsible for the effective positioning and strategic growth of Summit Strategic Solutions. The VP will identify, define, and execute a marketing and sales strategy inclusive of regional and national strategic initiatives, growth of key markets and expansion of service lines. The VP will increase the business overall value by identifying and closing affiliations with new sales and client leads, promoting all services and lines of business, and building and maintaining exceptional relationships with existing customers and clients.
The successful candidate will be a savvy, business development executive with a demonstrated track record of success in a complex health care or start up environment. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. An advanced business degree is required; experience in managed care and value-based care is strongly preferred.
